Spring Surge: Navigating a Competitive Market
The spring season typically ushers in increased real estate activity, and this year is no exception. Here's what's happening:
- Inventory Uptick: More listings are emerging, offering buyers a broader selection. However, desirable properties are still moving quickly.
- Price Appreciation: Home values continue to rise steadily, reflecting sustained demand.
- Mortgage Rates: While rates have seen slight fluctuations, they remain favorable for qualified buyers.

Home Tip of the Week
Spring Maintenance: Protect Your Investment
Ensure your home remains in top condition with these essential tasks:
- Roof Inspection: Check for missing shingles or damage from winter weather.
- Gutter Cleaning: Remove debris to prevent water damage.
- HVAC Servicing: Schedule a professional tune-up to maintain efficiency.
- Exterior Cleaning: Power wash siding and walkways to enhance curb appeal.
Regular maintenance not only preserves your home's value but also prevents costly repairs down the line.
Recipe of the Week
Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken
A light and flavorful dish perfect for springtime dining!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 2 tsp lemon zest
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp fresh thyme and fresh rosemary
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
To Make the Marinade:
- In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, fresh herbs, salt and pepper until all combined.
Prepare the Chicken:
- Place chicken in a shallow dish or a 1-gallon sealable plastic bag and pour most of the lemon herb sauce over the chicken (I always suggest reserving a little bit of the sauce to brush on the chicken later while grilling!)
- Place chicken in the fridge and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 2 hours (lemon is very acidic and will start to breakdown the chickenβs texture so you donβt want to marinate this too long). When ready to grill, remove chicken from the dish or bag, shake off any excess and discard leftover marinade.
- Heat a grill or grill pan on medium heat and brush grill with oil to prevent the chicken from sticking. Grill the chicken 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until cooked through and no longer pink (cooked chicken should have an internal temp of 165 degrees). Remove chicken from grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
